NEST is conducted by the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India for admissions into the 5-Year Integrated M.Sc. programme at NISER Bhubaneswar and UM-DAE Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (CEBS, University of Mumbai). All admitted students receive the annual DISHA scholarship and direct interview eligibility for Scientific Officer posts at BARC (Bhabha Atomic Research Centre).
